I'm going to review Parkroche, a resort with a forest retreat concept in Jeongseon, Gangwon-do, where I went for my summer vacation.
Personally, I hate seeing the prices of ocean view accommodations skyrocketing during the summer vacation season. ^^
When I see the accommodation prices nearly doubling compared to last month, even though the service quality has not improved, I wonder if I really need to pay this much money to go there.
It is natural in a capitalist market that supply prices go up when demand increases,
but it seems even more ridiculous since it is not a situation where you have to go on vacation only during the peak season.
Anyway, that's why I decided to change direction a bit and go for a forest retreat this summer. 🌳🌳🌳
I thought it would be nice to recharge my phytoncide in the forest and enjoy a nice swimming pool instead of the ocean.
That's how I chose Parkroche Resort & Wellness in Jeongseon!
As a result, I was completely satisfied.
It's a place I want to bring my whole family back to.
Room Condition (Sukam King)
It takes about 15-20 minutes by car to downtown, but it is not close at all.
So, you can take care of most things within the resort.
The rooms are larger than most hotel-type accommodations, and the rooms are equipped with microwave ovens as standard (surprise!).
Cooking is not allowed, but you can consider it as cook most frozen foods using the microwave (of course, avoid foods with strong smells).
There is a fairly large and comfortable sofa.
Basically, there is a large wooden tray, cutlery, and plates in each room
So I put food I bought outside or alcohol I brought on this wooden tray and ate it in the middle of the sofa
So good
When cleaning the room when going out, there is a separate piece of paper that allows you to choose whether to change the blankets
I think it was said that the purpose was to prevent unnecessary cleaning from polluting the environment, but we saw it when we checked out (even if they didn't change the blankets, they probably made them clean)
You might think it's formal or unnecessary, but I think it's really important for companies to think about the environment like this (even if they pretend to)
I also welcome the trend of using this as a PR point!
The bathroom is also comfortable and well-cleaned
In the case of Sugam King, there is no separate bathtub, and it is divided into a bathroom and shower room
The water comes out well, hot and cold, and the water flow is strong.

Only those who have made a reservation can make a reservation for the Your Wellness Stay Class
Only guests can take one class each in the morning and afternoon, and free cancellation is possible up to 1 hour before the reservation (there is no separate deposit, but it seems there was a penalty if you go over it)
Personally, I think the foam roller stretching is not too difficult and is quite useful, so it would be fun to do with adults. (The instructor's humor is also a little funny)
The resort's representative characters are striking yoga poses (lol)
There is also a waiting space on the same floor, so it seems like a good place to enjoy some leisure time here.
Equipment like mats and foam rollers are highly specialized.
One side was completely open, so I was able to have a really peaceful and healthy time.
The group worked hard to film the footage, but it seems they have no intention of releasing it to the world.
Gym
It was a bit disappointing that there was no power rack or bar, but it was good for warming up before swimming.
Personally, I think the morning Wellness Stay Class > Fitness > Swimming course is perfect (but if you stay up late, you're screwed)
Swimming pool (indoor/outdoor)
The swimming pool that I think is the flower of Park Roche~!! (Scream~~ ❓)
Actually, you chose this place because of the pool view, right? I know that.
Some hotels have a limit on the number of times you can use it, like once a day, but Park Roche Resort & Wellness doesn't have that.
You can use the gym and the swimming pool unlimitedly(?)
However, the outdoor pool is available to children, but the indoor pool is only available to adults (I think it's for safety reasons because the water is deep and tubes aren't allowed)

The clear blue pool tiles and the forest of Jeongseon were a great match.
When I looked for reviews, I was a bit worried because there were stories about the pool water being dirty and not being managed well, but that was absolutely not the case.
I was prepared for the bad water condition of outdoor pool , but the water was so clean that it was beyond my expectations.
The jacuzzi is free and there are about 4 of them so there is always an empty spot
You can take a quick picture of your life (I really like this picture because it shows that you worked out your back)
There were people who wore goggles and really swam.
There is also a hot spring-like area where you can lie down and rest, so if you feel cold, you can lie down there and cool down.
Rooftop stargazing
Personally, it was a short but great moment, so I dare to introduce it as a separate subtitle.
At 22:30, there is a program where (almost) all the lights in the resort are turned off and you can watch the stars.
You sit on a bean bag or a chair and look at the sky and quietly watch the stars.
The romanticism of quietly watching the stars in the sky on a Jeongseon night when the sun has set and the heat has subsided a bit was so great.
If the stars are nothing special, then there is nothing to be done, but it seems that Park Roche is trying its best to explain that all the natural environment around the resort is so pretty and wonderful
Delicious restaurant (resort restaurant/nearby restaurant)
Park Kitchen, Massine Massiseo, Jeongseon Hanwoo Town
I ordered pizza and truffle fries while swimming and they were really delicious (there is a separate menu for eating at the pool)
So I visited again to try a meal
Since it is a resort with a theme of staying in and relaxing, the restaurant is guaranteed to be delicious (Koreans get upset if it is not delicious)
The pasta, pizza, fries, and desserts are all delicious, so if you don't feel like going out, I recommend you try a meal.
If I go back to Jeongseon, I will definitely visit Jeongseon Hanwoo Town
Since I came to Gangwon-do, I wanted to eat beef, so I stopped by Nonghyup Hanwoo Town
While debating whether to call a designated driver or not, I didn't order alcohol, but just took a bite of the Upjinsal and ordered alchohol right away (What can I say, it's worth paying the designated driver's fee)
Steak's quality is only +1, but this much... daebak
It was so delicious that I was entranced, so I highly recommend it to travelers to Jeongseon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The side dishes were all delicious, so I think you can get recognized (at least you can get my recognition)
If you search for a delicious restaurant in Park Roche, you'll find many reviews of 'Masine Masiseo'.
I actually went there without any expectations, but no! What the heck! It's really delicious.
The seasoning is really strong and has a herbal scent, but it doesn't really matter (it's delicious anyway)
The soup was so delicious that I cried while mixing it with rice.
They also have fried rice, but the kimchi flavor is too strong... I don't recommend the fried rice.
It's the best when you eat it as is, so you should definitely try it.
You can take it out and eat it at your accommodation, but if you're going to eat it at the restaurant, it's better to call in advance and make a reservation (they say it takes about 30 minutes to cook, but we got it in 15 minutes)

Jeongseon Skywalk
In fact, I included the flower garden on the way to Skywalk because it was so pretty.
There are flower gardens like this all along the way, so stop anywhere and take a commemorative photo.
It's so, so pretty.
I didn't plan on writing a review like this,
but the trip to Park Roche was beyond my expectations, so I wrote it in detail.
